Course overview

This course equips you for a career in product design, industrial design or the product development sector. It is aligned with the way the design process is conducted in the industry today. You will develop your creativity, supported by a thorough understanding of engineering issues, to ensure that products can be manufactured within the constraints of time, cost and quality.

The course values creativity whilst emphasising an understanding of manufacturing, ergonomics and materials.

Thanks to my study at UNNC, I have a solid foundation in traditional design process and a decent understanding of User Centred Design. Then I learned to explore beyond the logic of design thinking and traditional manufacturing methods.

Jiani Zeng was honoured with various top international design awards including 2020 Graduate Student Merit Award by Industrial Designers Society of America, 2020 Red Dot Award: Best of the Best, Core77 Design Award and Platinum A’Design Award.
