International Day of Persons with Disabilities falls on the 3rd of December each year which is a special time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of people with disabilities and increase public awareness, understanding, and acceptance. The theme of this year is United in action to rescue and achieve the sustainable development goals for, with and by persons with disabilities.

UNNC organizes a Disability Awareness Campaign around this Day to echo the theme. The event will take place between 1st and 6th of December 2023.

We call on every student and staff in the UNNC community to learn from the experiences of people living with disabilities and push for more meaningful investments into removing barriers for all people living with disability, including physical disability, ongoing mental health conditions, long-term medical conditions and learning differences.
