Department of Computer Science

The Department of Computer Science provides a friendly, modern and supportive teaching environment that ensures our students achieve excellent results. As an integral part of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham, we offer students the same degree programme: BSc (Hons) Computer Science (2+2, 4+0) and BSc (Hons) Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence (2+2, 4+0) as that in the UK, taught by academic staff that are leaders in their fields. As active researchers, our academics are engaged in high-quality research projects in collaboration with leading educational institutions and industrial partners such as IBM, Microsoft, Google, Adobe and many Chinese computer and internet industrial giants. These industrial connections mean our students have a wide variety of summer placement opportunities, where they can gain real-world experience and enhance their employability.

Our graduates are qualified for a wide range of jobs which require a combination of technical excellence and an international perspective. They have gone on to work at major technology companies, such as Adobe, Google, IBM and Microsoft, and are involved in creating the latest hardware and software products. Many of our graduates have started their own companies and often look for employees among our current students.
