Employee testimonials
The University of Nottingham is an international university with campuses in the United Kingdom, Malaysia and China that together provide the best of British education while respecting the local context at each campus. A tri-campus university provides challenges and rewards, but the need to develop global thinkers is increasingly required in the modern world of global communications and increasing mobility. My experiences confirm to me that the Nottingham model can lead to world-class teaching and research at all three campuses.
UNNC is composed of a diverse staff and student population from a multi-campus and multinational background, creating a culture that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion. It has innovative and collaborative research and learning environment which brings together academics and students to learn from each other. The growing popularity of UNNC is solid testimony to the continuous enhancement of the teaching quality and the student's learning experiences, with collaborative efforts from all colleagues and students. It promotes student-centred learning, avoids the "do as I say" teaching style and carefully tailors teaching based on students' needs. It has been an empowering experience working at UNNC.
I have worked for the University of Nottingham since August 2000, on the University Park Campus in the UK, on the Malaysia Campus and now here on UNNC. Having the opportunity to not only work together with people from many different nations and backgrounds, but also being able to experience their cultures firsthand, and explore other regions of the world, has broadened my mind and helped me become a more inspired academic. With multiple locations, and many options for internal and external mobility, Nottingham is a great place to work and study for anybody who wishes to experience globalisation close-up and personally.
