Holders of the Japanese Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate are normally required to take a foundation programme.

Students require grades of at least A or B (or 5 or 4) including relevant subjects (such as Maths and Physics for the Engineering foundation programme).

Qualifying year (year two)

Normally applicants from Japan are required to successfully complete a foundation programme.

Alternatively, applicants who have undertaken at least one year of study at a University in Japan, and those who have completed a Vocational Degree (Senmonshi) or an Associate Degree (Jungakushi) could be considered for Year One entry. Typical minimum requirements are 65% (C+) to 75% (B+).
