The Research and Knowledge Exchange Office (RKEO) is pleased to announce that the anticipated UNNC Research Portal (research.nottingham.edu.cn) is now open to public.

An important part of UNNC’s new research information system (RIS), the portal will showcase our research success and help to promote the university to new and existing partners and stakeholders.

The UNNC Research Portal will replace the existing static web profiles on our website and will be a new way to publicise research with multiple types of information available, allowing internal and external audiences to easily access our wide range of research information in one place. This powerful upgrade will help both internal and external audiences effectively identify our experts in UNNC’s world-class research community.

Our academics will personally have direct control over all information in their profile and be able to select how much to share via the Research Information System (RIS). Personal profiles will automatically update and track all grants, publications and other research activities and the portal is entirely key word searchable to enable collaboration. Our university is committed to sustainable development – so research is also categorised by the UN sustainable development goals.

RKE office looks forward to continuing to support our world-leading researchers here at UNNC, who will now be able to publicise their high-quality research capabilities and potential research collaborative opportunities on the portal. We are continuing to work with partners to support the transition to RIS and the launch of the Research Portal is an important milestone for the new system.

As a research-led university, research backs so much of what we do and what we are proud of at UNNC. It informs our teaching and learning, supports our innovation, creativity and mutual prosperity, and connects us locally, nationally and internationally. The Research Portal will allow UNNC’s world-class researchers to further share their excellent work with a global audience.
