Here you will find all the information you need to obtain your certificates, including guidance on updating your mailing address and accessing your certificates with ease.

Attending a ceremony

If you attend your graduation ceremony, your degree certificates and diploma documents will be handed to you on stage.

Graduating in absentia

If you decide not to attend a graduation ceremony, you will graduate in absentia.

You can receive your degree certificates and diploma documents through one of the procedures listed here. Your award is conferred at the same time as those who attend a ceremony, so please note that it is not possible under any circumstances to receive your certificates prior to the graduation ceremony.

Please complete the registration form by clicking the link provided. Kindly let us know your preferred option by 5 July.

By mail

Your degree certificates and diploma documents will be sent to the address provided within 5 working days after the ceremony via EMS (for the Chinese mainland), SF express (for China's Hong Kong/Macao/Taiwan) or DHL (for international addresses - please note that PO boxes are NOT accepted for DHL deliveries), and you will receive an email with the tracking number upon dispatch. Postage will be covered by UNNC.

Collect in person or by a nominated person

Degree certificates and diploma supplement will be available for pickup:

Within the first week after the graduation ceremony – collect from the Hub (The Portland Building Room 120, open from Monday to Friday, 9:00 – 11:30, 13:30 – 17:00).
From the second week after the graduation ceremony – collect from the Academic Services Office (Trent Building Room 240, Open from Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 12:00, 13:30 – 17:00).

You or the nominated person will be required to show the student ID and personal ID (Chinese Resident ID 身份证 or passport) when collecting your certificates.

For 2+2 students

Please note that 2+2 students' UNNC certificates will be sent by post to the given address (separate address collection email will be sent by Academic Services Office in July)/ready for collection from Academic Services Office after the official UK conferral date, and your UNUK certificates will be dealt with UK team.
