    2021 UNNC Disability Awareness Campaign

    Various venues on campus

International Day of Persons with Disabilities falls on the 3rd of December each year which is a special time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of people with disabilities and increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance.

The 2021 theme is "Fighting for rights in the post-COVID era" as we are celebrating the challenges, barriers and opportunities for people who live with disabilities, in the context of a global pandemic.

We call on every student and staff in the UNNC community, to learn from the experiences of people living with disabilities during this pandemic, and push for more meaningful investments into removing barriers for all people living with disability, including physical disability, ongoing mental health conditions, long-term medical conditions and learning difference.
