Biography
I joined CELE in September 2014, after working on preparatory English for Academic Purposes (EAP) classes at Chonnam National University in Gwangju, South Korea and Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey. I was promoted to Senior Tutor in 2018 and have since convened a number of our principal EAP modules.
As Centre Operations Director, I am responsible for oversight of operations for CELE, which includes representing CELE on University planning and operations committees and working groups. I collaborate with colleagues across campus to ensure that departmental and University KPIs are met and assist where necessary with University planning and communications.
My Operations Director role within CELE also means providing support wherever possible for colleagues in a variety of contexts. This includes oversight and management of recruitment and onboarding, probation, observations, staff induction and leave, as well as events management, creation and review of CELE policy and planning documents, publicity and external correspondence with counterparts in UNUK/UNMC and beyond.
