This year’s activities include talks in the memory of one of the brightest 20th century mathematicians Olga A. Ladyzhenskaya and a screening of the documentary "Olga Ladyzhenskaya".
The event will begin with a short introduction by Professor Behrouz Emamizadeh to four influential female mathematicians. Then Dr Olga Danilkina will introduce foundations for mathematical methods invented by Olga Ladyzhenskaya. After the screening, Dr Darya Apushkinskaya, a student and a close collaborator of Olga Ladyzhenskaya will introduce the legacy of Olga Ladyzhenskaya.
This event is targeted towards female students and staff in the high schools. You don't have to be studying mathematics to attend. All UNNC students and staff are very welcome.
