Airport pick up

Coach pick-up from Ningbo and Shanghai airports is organised for all new international students, ensuring a hassle-free arrival at campus.

Welcome programme

The welcome programme, which takes place in the week after registration, combines practical events and social activities. It's an excellent opportunity to meet new friends from across the world, as well as members of staff.

You'll also have the opportunity to settle into your new surroundings whilst completing some useful tasks such as opening a bank account.

The Vis-a-Vis Programme runs alongside the welcome programme as well as through the academic year, providing monthly events for first-year students. Set up as a ‘buddy' system, new students are matched with continuing students in order to help them settle in and develop a good social and supportive network.

The Hub

The Hub is being created to provide a ‘one stop’ student services hub at UNNC. Located in Room 120 in the Student Services Building, close to Starbucks, The Hub will open by the beginning of next semester, providing a custom made space for students with queries.

Personal tutorials

You will be assigned a personal tutor who is responsible for monitoring your progress and welfare. You should feel free to discuss with them any issues of an academic or personal nature that may be bothering you.

The first meeting with your tutor is usually during the initial weeks of term and gives you the opportunity to find out more about the role of your tutor and how to contact him or her. You will also have the chance to find out more about how your department works. For further information please visit the personal tutorials pages.
