Electrical and electronic engineering continues to be a resilient industry. Our graduates are sought after by a large number of major international companies for recruitment, and we also organise career fairs each year.
Most of our graduates pursue further careers in the engineering sector, but others use the skills developed during the course to work in IT, consultancy, finance, commerce or education.
Further study
Out of 73 graduates from the BEng Hons Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2023, 71 chose to continue their studies, and 1 went directly to work.
Among students going into further study, 77.5% were admitted into top 50 universities worldwide. In addition, 2 graduates were admitted into the PhD programme at University of Oxford. 1 graduate was admitted into the PhD programme at University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
