Who we are
Digital Learning @UNNC is a broad community of staff and students that works together to make the most of the opportunities presented by new technologies to enhance teaching, learning and research at the University.
It consists of Student eLearning ambassadors, School Blended Learning Champions (teaching staff that are passionate and accomplished users of technology), Library Services, the eLearning Team and IT Services - all working towards a core strategy and providing support for digital learning.
Our Vision and Mission
As a leading international university, we seek to transform the lives and livelihoods of our students, staff and the local community. We aim to:
Provide a robust delivery model through discipline relevant use of Blended Learning and Online Learning for higher education in China, which is built on UNUK’s expertise but also localised within a Chinese context.
Develop our students as highly digitally literate leaders and entrepreneurs to meet the challenges facing the global society now and in the future. We also believe in empowering responsible global citizens who are socially and digitally aware.
Enable, support and develop teaching and support staff through strategic deployment of training, community forums, sharing of best practice and research-informed development.
Involve our students in the evaluation, planning and design of robust and successful practices around digital learning.
Our Community of Practice
Digital learning is profoundly disruptive of established teaching learning practices and requires not only a repositioning and a shift in identity for teaching staff, it also requires strong dialogue and collaboration across numerous sectors of an institution. To better inform and drive what we do, we work together in a strong community of practice.
