On May 29, 42 UNNC students and staff members gathered together at IEB101 for a vibrant mugwort Bouquet Workshop, for the celebration of Dragon Boat Festival.

Hosted by the Confucius Institute, this event highlighted the festival’s customs, such as hanging aromatic mugwort to ward off negative energy—a tradition rooted in ancient Chinese culture. After a shared lunch and a short introduction to the festival, participants crafted symbolic bouquets using fresh mugwort, chrysanthemums, and traditional decorations under guided instruction.

The hands-on DIY session provided an immersive experience, fostering communication, collaboration and laughter while deepening participants' understanding of the traditional Chinese festival.
