Dr. Du Min (Anna) obtained her Master's Degree in Finance and Investment from Nottingham University Business School China (NUBS China) in 2009. She then rejoined NUBS China as a PhD candidate, then graduated in 2014. Min is now Senior Lecturer in Finance and course leader in Finance, at the Leeds Business School, Leeds Beckett University.

We interviewed her online and she shared with us her experience of conducting academic research and her personal life at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC). Speaking of why she chose UNNC, Min said: "I chose UNNC because of our President, Professor Yang Fujia. He was invited to give a public speech at a university that my brother was attending. My brother and the whole family were all attracted by the concept he advocates and his charisma. They said to me, "You should go to UNNC!" During her time at NUBS China, she had more free time which gave her more space to think independently and greatly stimulated her ability to innovate. In addition, her supervisor Dr Wei Huang and other academics she met here were both professional and interesting who refreshed her understanding of usual stereotype of scholars and strengthened her faith in continuing doing research. Surprisingly, she also encountered her Mr Right here who was happened to be her classmate, and the experienced of their learning and growing together grounded their happy family. As for her current work, she said that working at the university firstly satisfies her desire to continue doing the research and enables her to better balance work and life. Furthermore, engaging in education industry also accumulated her experience to educate her own child.

In the future, she intends to instantly improve her scientific research ability through thinking deeply, participating in more seminars and international conferences to gather multiple sources and make more contribution to the field she loves.

Best wishes to Dr Du Min!
