Abstract: Integrating BIM and GIS is the first step towards digitalization of the communities. In The University of Nottingham Ningbo China the innovation was awarded a grant of 6M RMB in GIS-BIM Based Green Smart Building (grant no. 2015B11011). The results shown that integration is applicable despite technical and other challenges. HTML, SQL, Cloud Services, UML, Java, C# and other technologies were used in order to develop the integrated digital (information) model. In addition to this data from suppliers and environmental data were integrated too.
