During the event, Professor Patrick Chau, Vice Provost for Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE) of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC), stated that the conference provides a great platform to empower and support our staff and students to collaborate in research. He also briefly introduced the University of Nottingham Research Strategic Delivery Plan (SDP) for the next five years which aims to empower everyone in the research community including academics, technicians, professional services, and postgraduate researchers to deliver work that they are proud of, whether fundamental discoveries or transformative innovations that change lives.
Professor Martin Lockett, Dean of NUBS China, addressed the conference and thanked all the staff who supported it. He focused on the quantity and quality, impact and relevance of the research at NUBS China.
Professor Fifi Jie Wang, Director of Research Advancement at NUBS China, chaired the first session. Professor Kim Hua Tan, Deputy Director of Research and Knowledge Exchange at NUBS UK chaired the second session themed "Embedding collaborative research in NUBS next Research Strategy".
