LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® is not just a simple brick-building game but a deep workshop designed to unleash collective intelligence. Based on core beliefs such as “Leaders don’t have all the answers” and “Success requires every voice to be heard", students followed a four-step process—asking questions, building, sharing, and reflecting—to unlock their team’s creative potential.

Warm-Up: The Six-Brick Duck Challenge

“Build a duck with six bricks in 60 seconds”—this seemingly simple task allowed every participant to witness the diversity of creativity. No two ducks were the same, just as no two minds think alike. This activity ignited creative confidence and set an open, inclusive tone for the rest of the workshop.

Skill Building: Towers as Metaphors for Emotions

In the “Build the Tallest Tower” challenge, students experienced the entire process from construction to optimization, learning how to achieve breakthroughs through iterative thinking under constraints.

In the “How Technology Affects You” session, participants used colors to represent emotions, height to indicate intensity, and shapes to convey experiences—transforming abstract feelings into tangible models and exploring a new way to express complex emotions through metaphors.

Deep Exploration: My Life with Technology

Students spent 25 minutes building models representing their relationship with technology—what supports creativity and what creates obstacles. By adding “tension bricks” to symbolize conflicts and sharing their stories, they gained insights into the diverse ways technology shapes our lives.

Co-Creating the Future: Human-Machine Symbiosis

In a 50-minute group collaboration, students collectively defined “harmony” and then divided tasks to build system components: the Human Core, the Ethics Gate, the Creativity Bridge … These were eventually integrated into a complete human-machine symbiosis system, using physical models to present a future vision of balance between technology and humanity.

All models came together in a lively sharing and reflection session, where students discovered innovative ideas from different perspectives. Through hands-on building, they clarified complex concepts, listened to diverse voices in an equal and safe environment, enhanced their ability to visualize thinking, and gained valuable experience in collaborative work.
