From April 14 to 16, 2026, Evelyn Lin, Director of the Graduate School Office, Dr. Nicholas Hamm, Academic Director, and a delegation from the Graduate School of the UNNC conducted a three-day special research visit in Shenzhen.
The delegation visited Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology (SUAT), Shenzhen University, Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences, and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-SZ). Covering emerging research-oriented universities, prestigious conventional higher education institutions, top scientific research institutes and Sino-foreign universities, the delegation held in-depth discussions on cutting-edge fields including big data and artificial intelligence.
Strengthening Greater Bay Area Cooperation, Supporting Long-term Sustainable Development
In response to the recurring issue of insufficient diversified communication channels and formats identified in the research, the Graduate School will accelerate the upgrading of information feedback platforms, organise regular inter-university exchanges between teachers and students, and build a regular tripartite dialogue mechanism among supervisors, students and administrative teams.
This research visit has deepened cooperative ties between UNNC and prominent universities and research institutions in the Greater Bay Area and provided solid support and clear action guidelines for the innovation and optimisation of postgraduate training models. Moving forward, the Graduate School will support UNNC and its partners to elevate overall postgraduate education quality in line with international standards in higher education.
