On 1st December 2017, the Department’s Structures Team, Dr Yung-Tsang Chen, Dr Bo Li and Dr Ahmed Elamin, attended the 9th IStructE Asia-Pacific Forum on Structural Engineering hosted by Tongji Architectural Design (Group) Co., ltd. Shanghai. The forum theme was “Going Digital in Structural Engineering” and was supported by Tongji Architectural Design (Group) Co., ltd, Shanghai Digital Construction Engineering Technology Research Centre, Higher Education Branch of Chinese Survey and Design Association and 3D System China.

The forum gathered Engineers, Contractors, Researches and Architects from all over the world to present the latest innovative digital technology they newly use, challenges/difficulties they encounter and new ideas inspired during practice of projects.
