Following from the earlier success on re-accreditation of our AEE programme few weeks ago, we have now gone through the same process for the BEng Architecture programme. In the last two days, our Architecture programme has been undergoing an independent review, conducted by a panel of six representatives and as part of the reaccreditation process by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
After two very intensive days, we are very pleased to confirm the review was successful, and our Architecture course is re-validated for another 5 years. "We believe this is another major milestone for the course and the department, particularly that our number of students is now much higher than the panel’s first visit in 2014", says Dr Ali Cheshmehzangi, the Head of Department of Architecture and Built Environment.
This is a great news that we would like to share with you all. We would like to express our thanks to those involved and made this happen in the best possible way, particularly our student body, student reps, Architecture and CELE staff, our industry partners , the technicians, the alumni reps, as well as the Dean and the Provost for their full support. We specially thank our colleagues in the Faculty Office for helping with this very timely preparation work.
We look forward to more progress and success for the Department.
Once again, we would like to send our extended congratulations to our dedicated and hard-working staff and students of the Department.
