Today, Faculty of Science and Engineering organised a visit to the Ningbo Science Exploration Centre for the “2020 National Scientist Spirit Theme Exhibition”. There are three faculty academic members and their achievements being showcased in this exhibition with their great contribution in the science and technology. They are Professor Tao Wu, Professor Zhikuan Chen and Dr Xiaoling Liu.

In the past 4th “National Science and Technology Workers Day”, Professor Tao Wu, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FoSE) was honoured as “Top 10 Science and Technology Dream Chaser” of the Ningbo Municipal for his outstanding achievements in in scientific and technological innovation, international first-class discipline construction and the acquisition and training of high-end talent. 

Professor Zhikuan CHEN and Dr Xiaoling LIU from FoSE, UNNC has also been awarded the honour of the Year 2020 “Top 50 Ningbo Science and Technology Dream Chaser”.

Besides of the local science and technology workers, the exhibition also introduces the story of Chinese 1st generation of scientists. At that time, China was in a less developed status. Those who worked in a poor working condition but delivered great research outcomes. They are the hero behind the stage. We are profoundly touched and inspired by their stories and their resolutions.
