On 16 February, 2026, humanoid robots independently developed by NOETIX Robotics took centre stage at CCTV’s Year of the Horse Spring Festival Gala. Blending cutting-edge technology with artistic expression, the performance highlighted China’s growing strength in humanoid robotics innovation.
NOETIX Robotics was co-founded by Shipu Zhang, an alumnus of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC).Recognised on the 2025 Forbes China Top 100 Most Influential Chinese Elites list for his groundbreaking achievements, Zhang attributes his "no-limits" philosophy to his education at UNNC.
"UNNC systematically cultivated my critical thinking," he said. "It enables me to think independently, identify key factors in complex situations, and rigorously substantiate my views—skills that are essential to my leadership and major business decisions."
