Their award-winning project, titled “AI-based Power Battery Life Cycle Health Monitoring and Thermal Runaway Early Warning System”, impressed the judges with its innovation and practical value.
The competition featured 16 challenge topics covering cutting-edge areas such as photovoltaics, power transmission, carbon neutrality, new energy vehicles, and deep coalbed gas. More than 500 students and young researchers from 112 universities and 240 teams across China gathered in Beijing to compete.
Addressing two critical challenges – battery health assessment and thermal runaway prevention – the UNNC team developed a pioneering intelligent solution and emerged victorious in this highly competitive field.
