Biography

As well as teaching EAP on the RWAC, ESAC, OCSa, and OCSb modules, Andrea is also currently acting as the OCSa Co-Convenor and Module Convenor for the NAA Introduction to Creative Writing: Short Stories and Poetry modules. She joined UNNC CELE in September 2023, and has taught EAP on Summer Pre-Sessional courses in Edinburgh since 2021. She has also previously taught Academic English and English as a Foreign Language at schools and universities in the U.K., Austria and China. Her academic qualifications include: BA(Hons), MA and PhD degrees in English Language and Linguistics from the University of Huddersfield; she graduated in 2016 with her doctorate. She is a British Chinese born in Malaysia and a published writer with poetry, short stories and micro-fiction appearing in writing competition anthology books. She is also a holder of a Third Dan Black Belt in the Korean martial art of Tang Soo Do.
