The Centre for English Language Education at UNNC is committed to improving the teaching capacity of its academic staff and enhancing its teaching strength and expertise through the recognition pathways provided by AdvanceHE (formerly the Higher Education Academy).
UNNC staff are given the opportunity to work towards AdvanceHE Fellowship accrediation through the tri-campus Nottingham Recognition Scheme, which enables participants to claim recognition for their contributions to the University’s educational objectives, based on evidence of engagement with the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) in their teaching and their continuing professional development activity.
As of January 2026, 10 members of CELE staff have been accredited as Senior Fellows of AdvanceHE (SFHEA), with a further 19 certified as Fellows (FHEA).
