Before You Arrive: Online Registration

Online registration

What is registration?

You are required to complete both online registration and in-person registration as a new student at the start of your course and then re-register at the beginning of each semester (or each academic year for postgraduate research students) as a returning student. This confirms your intention to study at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China and provides you with access to University Services, buildings, Moodle, your personalised timetable, funding (where applicable), and other resources.

When can I register if I am a returning student who have successfully progressed in July?

Returning students are required to re-register at the start of each semester (or each academic year for postgraduate research students) by completing online registration. You will receive a registration invite by email once registration has opened for you. The official registration day for returning students for the Autumn Semester of AY2026/27 is 28 September 2026.

I have activated my username and password and where do I register online?

When you log in to your NottinghamHub account to register, you should see a tile stating 'Registration - online registration is now open. Please register here'. Select this and follow the steps to complete online registration.

Please ensure that you use your newly activated university username and password (not your applicant details). It may also be necessary to clear your cache on a regular basis to ensure you are seeing the most up to date page. If you can see the link to register but you get a blank page when you click on the link, we have found opening the browser in incognito mode can rectify this. Please also save each page as you move through the registration process. Watch our online registration video or step-by-step guide for further guidance.

Once you have completed your online registration you will not be able to revisit the same screens.

When can I register if I am a returning student awaiting my assessment results in August?
If you have completed assessments in August, the earliest you will be invited to register will be 28 September 2026. This invitation will be dependent on your results which will be released following the Exam Board.

I don’t have a registration tile when I log into NottinghamHub what should I do?

Please make sure you are logging in with your university username and not your applicant ID.

Please note that the online registration for new students will be open from 11 August 2026. If you try to complete your online registration before you have received your registration invitation email, you will not see the Registration tile and will not be able to complete registration.

How do I know if I am registered?
If you have completed your online registration you will not be able to revisit the same screens for Registration tile. If the registration tile still exists, please follow the steps to complete online registration.

I cannot move between the online registration screens, what should I do?

If you are unable to move on to the next screen, it is usually because you have not completed and saved information on an earlier screen.

Make sure you complete all sections, this may include ticking boxes and selecting no for sections that are not relevant to you. You can view this video on our website that goes through how to complete online registration.

New students, makes sure you are logging in with your University username and not your application details. If you have been logged in with your applicant details we would also recommend clearing your cache or trying a different browser.

I have already completed the online registration. Why did I still receive a reminder email?

Please log in to NottinghamHub to see whether the Registration tile still exists. If you cannot revisit the same screens for registration, please contact the Academic Services Office directly at academic-service-office@nottingham.edu.cn. If the registration tile still exists, please follow the steps to complete online registration.
