Entry requirements for applicants from Vietnam at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level

Undergraduate level entry requirements

Preliminary year (year one)

Completion of Year 12 or the Bang Tot Nghiep Pho Thong Trung Hoc / Senior Secondary School Graduation Diploma is accepted for Year 1 entry. Relevant subject requirements are as follows:

  • Engineering: Mathematics and Physics
  • Science: Mathematics and Biology or Chemistry
  • Social Sciences and Business: Mathematics

Qualifying year (year two)

Applicants who have completed at least one year of study at a reputable university in Vietnam may be considered for Year 2 entry. Year 1 GPA results are typically expected to be in the range of 7.5 to 8.0.

Students taking APs or SATs should refer to the entry requirements for the USA.

Postgraduate level entry requirements

A bachelor’s degree (Bang Tot Nghiep Dai Hoc / Bang Cu Nhan) from a recognised institution is required. Entry requirements vary depending on the university attended and the programme applied for. Typical expectations are a GPA of 7.0 out of 10 or 3.0 out of 4.0, normally in a relevant subject area.
