Entry requirements for applicants from Sri Lanka at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level

Undergraduate level entry requirements

Preliminary year (year one)

Students holding the Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) (since 2001) are required to start from Year 1 entry.

Qualifying year (year two)

Students who have completed the Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) can be considered for direct Year 2 entry. Offers will generally follow our standard A-level requirements.

Students taking A levels or the IB should refer to our online international qualification sections.

Students taking APs or SATs should refer to the entry requirements for the USA.

Postgraduate level entry requirements

A four-year Bachelor Special Degree or a three-year Bachelor General Degree is acceptable for entry to our master’s programmes.

Entry requirements may vary depending on the Sri Lankan university attended and the specific course applied for.

Percentages 60 - 69%
Letter Grades B to B+ or 3.3+

 

4-Year Special Bachelor Degree 2:1
Percentages 60 - 69%
