Entry requirements for applicants from Singapore at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level

Undergraduate level entry requirements

Preliminary year (year one)

Applicants from Singapore are normally not required to begin at Year 1, as the Singapore GCE A Level qualification is accepted for direct entry to Year 2.

Qualifying year (year two)

We accept Singapore A Level (H2) grades for entry to Year 2 dirctly.

Applicants holding relevant Polytechnic Diplomas may also be considered for Year 2 entry. A typical acceptable GPA range is 2.9 to 3.5.

Students taking A levels or the IB should refer to our online international qualification sections.

Students taking APs or SATs should refer to the entry requirements for the USA.

Postgraduate level entry requirements

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree of a good academic standard from a recognised institution, normally equivalent to a UK Upper Second Class (2:1).

Entry requirements may vary depending on the university attended in Singapore and the programme applied for.

Guidance for Singapore autonomous public universities:

  • 4-year Bachelor Honours Degree: GPA 3.0/4.0 or 4.0/5.0
  • 3-year Bachelor Ordinary Degree: GPA 3.4/4.0 or 4.4/5.0
