Entry requirements for applicants from Philippines at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level

Undergraduate level entry requirements

Preliminary year (year one)

Applicants who hold a High School Diploma (Grade 12), or a High School Diploma (Grade 10) together with at least one year of university-level study in the Philippines, will normally be considered for admission to Year 1.

Qualifying year (year two)

Applicants who have successfully completed a minimum of two years of study at one of the institutions listed below, and have achieved strong academic results, may be considered for direct entry to Year 2:

  • University of the Philippines
  • De La Salle University
  • University of Santo Tomas
  • Ateneo de Manila University

Students taking APs or SATs should refer to the entry requirements for the USA.

Postgraduate level entry requirements

Applicants from Philippines should hold a bachelor’s degree of a good academic standard from a recognised institution, normally in a relevant field. Specific entry requirements may vary depending on the university attended in the Philippines and the programme to which the applicant is applying. As general guidance, we consider the equivalent of a UK Upper Second Class (2:1) degree.
