Entry requirements for applicants from Pakistan at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level

Undergraduate level entry requirements

Preliminary year (year one)

Students holding the Intermediate / Higher Secondary School Certificate are normally required to enter Year 1.

Qualifying year (year two)

Students with a two- or three-year bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution may be considered for admission to qualifying years of undergraduate programmes. In general, applicants with a First Division (60%+) can be considered.

Students taking A levels or the IB should refer to our online international qualification sections.

Students taking APs or SATs should refer to the entry requirements for the USA. 

Postgraduate level entry requirements

Applicants must hold a relevant bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in Pakistan, normally equivalent to a UK Upper Second Class (2:1).

Students who hold a two- or three-year bachelor’s degree must also have achieved a First Division pass in a master’s degree.

Typical GPA requirements are:

4-Year Bachelor’s Degree Upper Second Class (2:1)
Percentage Scale

70%+ OR
65%+ (depends on the University of study)

GPA out of 4.0

3.01 - 3.74 OR
2.9 (depends on the University of study)
