Entry requirements for applicants from Nepal at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level
Undergraduate level entry requirements
Preliminary year (year one)
Students holding the Year 12 Higher Secondary Certificate are required to begin at Year 1 entry. The subject requirements are as follows:
- Engineering and Physical Sciences: B+ or 70%, with B+/70% in Maths and Physics
- Science: B+ or 70%, with B+/70% in Maths and Biology or Chemistry
- Arts and Humanities: B+ or 70% average
- Social Sciences and Business: B+ or 70%, with 70% in Maths
Qualifying year (year two)
Students holding the Year 12 Higher Secondary Certificate or the Post-Proficiency Certificate / Intermediate Examination are required to start from Year 1.

Postgraduate level entry requirements
Applicants must hold a three- or four-year bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in Nepal. A qualification equivalent to a UK Upper Second Class (2:1) is normally required.
Entry requirements may vary depending on the institution attended and the programme applied for. Typical expectations are a GPA of 3.2–3.59 out of 4.0 or 65%–79% (First Division).
