Entry requirements for applicants from Myanmar at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level

Undergraduate level entry requirements

Preliminary year (year one)

Applicants holding the Basic Education High School Examination (Matriculation) (Year 11) are required to start from Year one entry.

Qualifying year (year two)

Applicants who have completed at least two years of study at Universities in Myanmar and achieved good grades may be considered for direct entry to year two.

Postgraduate level entry requirements

Entry requirements for qualifications from Myanmar universities may vary depending on the institution attended and the programme applied for. As general guidance, applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree with at least five years in a professional subject or a master’s degree of a good standard from a recognised university, usually in a relevant subject area. Applicants are normally expected to hold a qualification equivalent to a UK Upper Second Class (2:1) degree.
