Entry requirements for applicants from Iran at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level

Undergraduate level entry requirements

Preliminary year (year one)

Students holding a three-year High School Diploma (Theoretical Stream) are usually required to enter Year One.

Qualifying year (year two)

Students from Iran may be considered for direct entry to Year Two under the following conditions:

  • Pre-University Certificate (Peeshdaneshgahe) or a four-year High School Diploma (Theoretical Stream) is completed to a good standard.
  • Applicants who have completed one or two years of university study at a recognised institution in Iran may also be eligible, provided they have taken relevant subjects and achieved strong grades.

Students taking APs or SATs should refer to the entry requirements for the USA.

Postgraduate level entry requirements

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree of good standing from a recognised university, normally in a relevant field. Our entry requirements for degrees from Iranian universities vary depending on the university attended and the specific course applied. The summary below is provided for general guidance:
