Entry requirements for applicants from Ethiopia at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level

Undergraduate level entry requirements

Preliminary year (year one)

Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Examination (from 2003): comparable to GCSE standard.
Ethiopian School Leaving Certificate: comparable to GCSE standard

5 x C grades required as a minimum with Bs in relevant subjects for Business, Engineering and Science Foundation courses

Qualifying year (year two)

Applicants from Ethiopia are usually required to complete a Foundation Programme

If students have completed one year of University study after high school, they may be considered for direct entry to bachelor's courses.

Students taking A levels or the IB should refer to our online international qualification sections.

Students taking APs or SATIIs should refer to entry requirements for the USA.

Postgraduate level entry requirements

A bachelor's degree from a recognised university. A typical GPA requirement is 3.25 out of 4.0.
