Prof. Alain Chong attends Beijing Reception and Dinner for Foreign Experts image1


On September 27, the Reception and Dinner for Foreign Experts celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China was grandly held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

Professor Alain Chong, Vice Provost for Global Engagement and Partnership at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China and an expert in information systems, was invited to the reception and dinner. He also participated in the Zhejiang Foreign Expert Symposium, where he shared his experiences and unique insights from working and living in China.

Since joining the university in 2012, Professor Chong has made significant academic contributions. He has been recognised as one of the most cited researchers in China by the Elsevier Scopus database for eight consecutive years and has been listed among the "World’s Top 2% Scientists" by Stanford-Elsevier several times.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of higher education in China, international scientific exchange, the cultivation of high-level talent and local economic development, he has received several honors, including the Camellia Award from Ningbo City and the West Lake Friendship Award from Zhejiang Province.
