From 30 to 31 January, during UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s visit to Shanghai, Professor Jon Garibaldi, Provost and Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC), was invited to attend a series of high-level events, including the House of UK Reception and the UK-China Business Forum.
The events brought together senior representatives from government and business communities in both China and the UK, providing a platform for in-depth exchanges across a range of professional fields and for discussions on future cooperation. These engagements injected fresh momentum into bilateral relations and practical cooperation between the two countries.
Professor Garibaldi’s participation highlights UNNC’s role as an important platform for China-UK educational cooperation and a vital bridge for people-to-people engagement, demonstrating the University’s positive contribution to enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation between the two nations.
