Ruiqi Huang, a graduating student studying Finance, Accounting and Management at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC), exemplifies academic excellence and real-world impact through her four-year journey of proactive exploration. Named an“Outstanding Graduate of Zhejiang Province”and holding offers from Imperial College London, the London School of Economics and Political Science, and London Business School, her journey has been marked by relentless initiative and tangible achievements.

Her defining moment came at the 2024 IMA National Case Competition in Beijing. Leading a UNNC team against more than 4,000 students from over 900 universities, Ruiqi spearheaded a victory that crowned UNNC as the first Sino-foreign university to win this national title. She attributes this success to UNNC’s practice-orientated learning environment: “Classroom case studies and projects with enterprises transformed our theoretical knowledge into problem-solving tools.”

Beyond academics, Ruiqi’s six internships highlight her commitment to driving meaningful change. At Kraft Heinz, her consumer research directly influenced the portfolio of a new product, the “Heinz Jar”. A year later, in collaboration with Peking University’s Guanghua School, she co-authored a 60,000-word report on revitalising Inner Mongolia’s cashmere industry. Her holistic development strategies were adopted by local governments. "This experience revealed the power of business to uplift local communities," she reflected.

“At UNNC, the world becomes your stage when you dare to explore," said Ruiqi.
