22 July 2024
21 July: The entry lines for the first batch of universities in 2024 Zhejiang Gaokao were released. The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC)’s entry score is 617, exceeding the tier one line (the benchmark for “good” universities) by 22 points, and ranks second only to Zhejiang University among comprehensive universities in the Province.
As of 21 July 2024, the Gaokao admission for UNNC within Zhejiang Province has been completed, with all 18 programmes or categories fully enrolled. The minimum admission rank of UNNC is approximately 36,000, an improvement of nearly 8,000 places compared to last year. The highest admission score of UNNC is 653, indicating that students who qualify for national top universities chose UNNC.
Currently, the University's admissions outside Zhejiang are progressing. In provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions where the admission processes have finished, the university is typically seeing improvements in admission scores and ranks compared with the previous year.
As the first Sino-foreign university and a key campus of the University of Nottingham for over twenty years, UNNC has been rooted in China while facing the world. It has actively leveraged the advantages of international education, integrated high-quality teaching and research resources from home and abroad, and has achieved significant achievements in talent cultivation, establishing new subject areas, and exploring new education models. These achievements have been widely recognised by all sectors of society.
The University's Careers and Employability Annual Report reveals that over 90% of 2023 undergraduates went on to further study, among which over 90% entered the world's top 100 universities. Among the undergraduates choosing to enter the job market directly, about 80% were employed by Fortune 500 companies, well-known Chinese and foreign enterprises, government agencies, and public institutions.
