UNNC completes 2024 Gaokao admissions admitting the top 7% nationwide
03 August 2024
The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) recently successfully concluded its 2024 Gaokao admissions. UNNC filled all its places across 28 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities. The three faculties-Nottingham University Business School China, Faculty of Science and Engineering, and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences-all have their programmes or categories fully enrolled.
There is a notable increase in UNNC’s overall Gaokao weighted average ranking percentile. The students admitted to UNNC this year have a high weighted average ranking percentile of 7.0%, the best since 2020. Most provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities, including Beijing, Guangdong, Zhejiang, and Tianjin, saw significant improvements. Additionally, the weighted top ranking percentile of the highest Gaokao scores among admitted students remained at 3.0%, the same as last year. These figures indicate that students who qualify for national top universities chose UNNC.
As the first Sino-foreign university and a key member of the University of Nottingham global education system for over twenty years, UNNC has continuously attracted outstanding students from home and abroad with its international education model and excellent educational outcomes. For instance, in Zhejiang Province, UNNC’s entry score is 617, exceeding the tier one line (the benchmark for “good” universities) by 22 points, and ranks second only to Zhejiang University among comprehensive universities in the Province.
Currently, the UNNC 2024 admission letters, along with specially designed offer pack boxes, are being sent out across the country. It is expected that over 1,900 undergraduate students will enter UNNC this autumn.
