21 July – The entry scores for the first batch of universities participating in the 2025 Zhejiang Gaokao have been officially released. The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) has recorded an entry score of 609, surpassing the tier one threshold—a benchmark indicative of high-ranking institutions—by 17 points. UNNC’s highest admission score reached 650.

As of 21 July 2025, the Gaokao admission process for UNNC within Zhejiang Province has been successfully concluded. All 17 academic programmes offered by the University are now fully enrolled. The lowest admission rank accepted this year stands at approximately 42,000, reflecting the University's continued competitiveness and appeal among prospective students.

Admissions for regions outside Zhejiang are currently underway. In provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions where admissions have concluded—such as Beijing and Shanghai—UNNC has experienced an increase in entry scores, suggesting that students qualified for China’s top national universities have chosen UNNC.

As the first Sino-foreign university and a key campus of the University of Nottingham—a world top 100 university—UNNC continues to gain recognition from authoritative evaluation bodies for its outstanding educational outcomes.

The British Higher Education Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) issued an evaluation report confirming that UNNC adopts the educational model and standards of the University of Nottingham, and its level of academic teaching and the quality of student learning are fully aligned with those of the University of Nottingham in the UK.

In the 2025 Shanghai Ranking Best Chinese Universities Ranking, UNNC once again received a full score in the “Undergraduate Value Enhancement” indicator. The University has achieved this distinction for five consecutive years, ranking first nationwide in this category.

UNNC continues to be widely recognised by both students and parents for its exceptional performance in postgraduate education and graduate employment outcomes.

According to the latest Careers and Employability Annual Report, among Class of 2024 undergraduates who pursued further studies abroad, 83.63% were admitted to top 50 global universities or programmes, and 34.86% to the top 10. Of those who entered the workforce, 84.04% secured positions with Fortune Global 500 companies, renowned domestic and international enterprises, or government agencies.

Based on interim data, students from the Class of 2025 have collectively secured more than 70 admission offers from four of the world’s most prestigious universities—Harvard, Yale, Oxford, and Cambridge.
