Biography
Dr Shayan Rashidi is an early-career researcher specialising in the organisational and strategic dimensions of artificial intelligence (AI). His research examines how organisations and entrepreneurs incorporate AI into their processes and practices, and how these micro-level transformations translate into macro-level outcomes at the organisational, strategic, and business model levels. The central concern of his work is the cross-level interplay between operational change and strategic consequence, investigated through rigorous qualitative inquiry and in-depth case studies across both established firms and early-stage ventures.
Dr Rashidi holds a PhD in Management (Entrepreneurship and Strategy) from Lancaster University Management School (LUMS), UK, completed under the support of the prestigious and highly competitive LUMS Doctoral Scholarship — a merit-based, fully-funded award recognising exceptional research talent.
His scholarship has been recognised at some of the most distinguished international forums in business and management research. Dr Rashidi presented at the 37th Annual Conference of the British Academy of Management (BAM 2023, UK), where he received the Best Paper Award in the Organisational Transformation, Change, and Development track, and at the 84th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM 2024, USA), where he was selected as a recipient of a competitive attendance scholarship from the AOM Entrepreneurship Division.
