International Day of Persons with Disabilities falls on the 3rd of December each year which is a special time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of people with disabilities and increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance. This year, the event will take place between 1st and 6th of December 2024.
We meet different kinds of students and staff in UNNC, and everyone possesses dreams and aspirations, yet may face unique physical or mental challenges. The concept of disability inclusion aims to break down these boundaries, enabling everyone to express themselves equally and collectively create a diverse, inclusive, and loving world, where differences create the most beautiful landscape. We call on every student and staff member in the UNNC community, to learn from the experiences of people living with disabilities, and push for more meaningful investments into removing barriers for all people living with disability, including physical disability, ongoing mental health conditions, long-term medical conditions and learning differences.
