Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
The University of Nottingham Ningbo China Equity and Diversity strategy aims to establish a respectful and inclusive environment for UNNC stakeholders which is free from discrimination, and embraces and values the rich diversity of its staff and students across the whole campus. In addition, each person, regardless of heritage or personal circumstances will have the opportunity to give of their best and be appropriately recognized, rewarded and developed for their contribution.
2025 EDI Week
8 March is International Women’s Day (IWD), on which the major contributions of women are celebrated at UNNC. This year, in addition to IWD, we will celebrate Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Week in the week commencing 3 – 9 March 2025, with a series of events to foster a deeper understanding of diversity, promote disability inclusion and enhance the wellbeing of our UNNC community.
Our Focused Themes
As University of Nottingham UK completed its 2025 strategy exercise and the EDI strategy implementation plan, inclusivity has been incorporated as one of our core values and fostering an inclusivity culture as a university has been made a priority. Four themes were adopted to achieve a respectful and inclusive university:
- Demonstrate equality in experience for all of our staff and students
- Strengthen our diversity and improve inclusion across student and staff communities
- Excellence and ambition in delivery of embedded Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
- The University, Nottingham, and our Global Community.
