14 Dec, Mandarin learners of NCI Ningbo celebrated the Christmas and showcased their Chinese language talents in the MN Canteen. About 110 participants joined the event. Chair of NCI Board Professor Nick Miles welcomed all the participants, acknowledged NCI’s achievements in the year, and wished everyone a merry Christmas. Students from HSK3 group class started the talent show with a song of Jingle Bells. Afterwards, students from HSK6 and HSK4 all performed nice Chinese songs.

The participants were also amazed by the martial art performed by the university’s Chinese student Yan Gao, and had fun in many games. Through an evaluation of Mandarin learners’ performances in the exam, homework, attendance rate and at class participation, 10 best students awarded the excellent performance prizes. Professor Martin Lockett, Dean of Faculty of Business, congratulated the winners and presented the awards to them. The event ended up with a gift exchange amongst the participants.
