16 Apr, Vice Chancellor of Nottingham University Professor Shearer West visited Fudan University, and met with President of Fudan University Professor Ningsheng Xu and staff of Fudan Confucius Institute office. Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Provost, UoN Ningbo Professor Chris Rudd OBE, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Globale Engagement Professor Nick Miles OBE and other 6 staff from UoN and UNNC attended the meeting. They discussed about the development of Nottingham Confucius Institute and the solid cooperation between Fudan University and Nottingham University.

Fudan University is the partner university of Nottingham Confucius Institute, which lend valuable and significant support to the NCI in the past 11 years. All Chinese Directors of NCI are from Fudan University. This was the first time Professor Shearer West visited Fudan University.
