NCI Ningbo Branch was invited to Tianyi Pavilion to join the Earring DIY activity on 14 Sep. As the last part of celebrating the Mid-Autumn festival at NCI, the students learnt how to make Chinese traditional earrings resembling the moon.

As we know, the moon is the symbol of the Mid-Autumn festival. All the participants learnt about Chinese culture while making their own beautiful earrings. One of the students Nalinee from Thailand said she enjoyed this activity a lot and would like to keep her earrings as a memory for her first Mid-Autumn Festival in China.

Afterwards NCI staff showed the students around in the Tianyi Pavilion. Everyone was amazed by the over hundred years but still perfectly preserved book collections in Tianyi Pavilion. The staff introduced attendants the history and the development of Tianyi Pavilion, which stimulated their interest in learning Chinese history and culture.
