August 4^th to 8^th 2016, Nottingham Confucius Institute China Ningbo Branch received a table tennis visiting group from Nottingham Shire UK. The group was led by Ms Meng Jinrong, the Chinese Director of the Nottingham Confucius Institute, and consisted of twenty skillful secondary school table tennis players with their parents and coaches.

The visiting group showed high interest in experiencing Chinese painting, gastronomic and Kong Fu. To communicate and exchange with Chinese table tennis players from local high school enhanced mutual understanding between the teenagers from two countries. Some British students said that this visit enriched their knowledge about China and UNNC, and they will regard UNNC as one of their targeting universities to apply for.

This activity had been highly supported by the Foreign Affairs Office of Ningbo Municipal People’s Government. As a reflection of Twinship cities between Ningbo and Nottingham, this visit has been documented by the local TV station.
