On 27 September 2017, Nottingham Confucius Institute China Ningbo Branch (NCI) took about 30 foreign students to attend the mooncake making party in the UNNC Affiliate School. This is the second year Middle-Autumn Festival celebration organized by NCI. Teachers and students from UNNC Affiliate School celebrated the special event together with us.

The celebration began with the opening speech by the headmaster of UNNC Affiliate School Mr.Yuan Zhanjiang. And following wonderful talent show including poetry recitation, Taiji and Guzheng performance left deep impression on every audience.

After the show, students were divided into six groups to make mooncakes with the instruction of professional mooncake baker invited by the Confucius Institute. Some of students used models to shape the mooncakes while others were trying to create different shape of cakes by their imagination. Many students even couldn’t wait to tasting the mooncake. By the end of the party, most of the students even packed up their masterpieces home to share it with their family and friends.

After the party, many participants expressed that they enjoyed the great experience of reunion and gathering very much and appreciate the way we treat each other like family or very close friends.
